It's amazing to realize that we've been on our current road trip for more than a month. On Thursday we had dinner with friends who live in Massachusetts. They asked when we left home and in recounting our stops we realized how long we've been traveling.
First stop, Lebanon, TN at a rally with Jacqui & Joe Danek.
From Lebanon, we toured Nashville where I snapped a photo from backstage at the Ryman Auditorium.
Think of the famous folks who stood at this exact spot.
On the 16th of May we ended our travels with Joe & Jacqui and headed north with a goal of reaching Elkhart, IN to get some scheduled service. As before, the guys at Forest River service are a great group who went out of their way to accommodate folks who have bought a Forest River product.
On May 20th with "the Berkshire" ready to roll, we headed East for nights in Loudonville, OH, Champion, PA, and Chambersburg, PA, finally spending 4 nights in Gettysburg, PA. This was our 4th trip to Gettysburg.
Another place we never imagined that we would stand!
What a view
As in other years, we drove the auto tour through the Battlefield. This year we viewed Pickett's Charge from the Southern viewpoint. The North Carolina memorial at that point carries a poignant message.
To the eternal glory of the North Carolina soldiers, who on this Battlefield displayed heroism unsurpassed, sacrificing all in support of their cause. Their valorous deeds will be enshrined in the hearts of men long after these transient memorials have crumbled into dust. ...One confederate soldier in every four who fell here was a North Carolinian.

We ended May in Accord, NY a small town northwest of New York City. A Whitecliff Wine tasting and great sandwiches from the Saunderskill Market were the highlight of this stop. It took us a while to figure out how to take a 'selfie' (obviously we have limited technical abilities), we enjoyed the sandwiches, the Pinot Noir, and especially the view!
GREAT to see you back on the road ! Keep those wheels turning...
